TTPFL Partners with First Citizens for Knockout

The Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League (TTPFL) is proud to announce its partnership with First Citizens for the knockout competitions which will involve all twenty-six (26) clubs from Tier 1 and Tier 2. The Preliminary Round will kick off on 20 April 2024.

At the official draw for the First Citizens Knockout Cup, which was held at on Tuesday 9 April 2024, the League announced the title partnership which signals a welcomed return of First Citizens to the premier football landscape.

First Citizens has had a tremendous history with the prestigious knockout competition for elite football for many decades and the 2024 edition will feature a big increase in the number of Clubs that will have an opportunity to claim the trophy. This partnership which is valued at approximately TT$200K, will see the winners take home TT$100K and the runner-up earning TT$50K.

At the official draw, former First Citizens Knockout Cup MVP Devon Jorsling was invited to assist in the process where the eight (8) lowest ranked clubs from the current Tier 1 standings and the twelve (12) lowest ranked clubs from the current Tier 2 standings were selected at random to compete in the Preliminary Round. This Round will be played on the 20 and 21 April 2024.
