Trinidad and Tobago Name Squad for CFU U-14 Boys Challenge Series
Trinidad and Tobago have named an 18-member squad for the 2026 CFU U-14 Boys Challenge Series, which gets underway in the Dominican Republic on August 16.
The Trinidad and Tobago U-14 Boys, coached by Randolph Boyce, will compete in Tier 1, Group B alongside Haiti, Puerto Rico and French Guiana.
T&T will open their campaign against Puerto Rico on August 17, followed by a meeting with Haiti on August 18, before completing the group phase against French Guiana on August 19.
The squad has been in preparation over the past few weeks, with the technical staff using the training period to work on the players’ overall development while preparing them for the demands of international competition.
Boyce said the tournament represents an important opportunity for the young players to test themselves against regional opposition and continue their development within the national programme.
“The boys have been working well over the past few weeks and we have seen good commitment and improvement from the group. At this age, it is not only about the results. We want them to understand what it means to represent Trinidad and Tobago, to compete properly and to show discipline in the way we play.
“Playing three matches in a short period will be a good test for them. We have some quality within the group and now it is about taking what we have been working on in training into the competition. We want the players to enjoy the experience, express themselves and come away from the tournament better footballers.”
The CFU U-14 Boys Challenge Series provides young players across the Caribbean with exposure to international football at an important stage of their development, while allowing national associations to continue identifying and developing players for future age-group national teams.
