Derek King to serve as Interim Head Coach of Senior Men’s National Team

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) can confirm that Derek King has been appointed Interim Head Coach of the Trinidad and Tobago Men’s Senior National Team for the upcoming slate of international matches.

The appointment follows the TTFA’s recent announcement that it has parted ways with former head coach Dwight Yorke.

King brings extensive experience within the national programme. He previously served as an assistant coach under Yorke and also held the same role under former head coach Angus Eve.

Prior to that, King was part of the national team technical staff under Stephen Hart from 2013 to 2016.

He also served briefly as Interim Head Coach in 2024 following Eve’s departure, providing continuity during that transition period.

King will lead the team for the upcoming international friendly away to Bolivia on March 15, as well as during the FIFA Series scheduled to take place in Uzbekistan later this month.

The TTFA will communicate any further developments regarding the Men’s Senior National Team technical staff in due course.
