2026 G League begins this weekend
The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association is excited to launch the 2026 G-League this Sunday, 14 June, at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar, and the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Tobago.
Now entering its fourth season, the G-League continues to provide opportunities for girls to play football in a structured and enjoyable environment while creating pathways to the TTFA High-Performance Programme and National Teams. This year’s competition has expanded to include three age categories—G11, G13, and G15—allowing more girls to begin their football journey at younger ages.

The continued growth of girls’ football is reflected in the increase in club participation, with fifteen clubs registered for the 2026 season compared to eleven clubs in the G15 division in 2025. Several clubs will also field teams in multiple age categories, demonstrating their commitment to the long-term development of girls’ football.
A key feature of the G-League is its age-appropriate format, with matches played 5v5, 7v7, and 9v9. These formats are designed to maximize touches on the ball, encourage decision-making, and help young players develop technical skills, confidence, and game intelligence in a fun and supportive environment.
The league’s objectives are to provide more playing opportunities for girls, support the development of female coaches, identify talented players for the TTFA High-Performance Programme, and strengthen club culture throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
Matches begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue throughout the day. Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to come out and support the next generation of female footballers.
