TTFA TO BEGIN MEMBER CONSULTATIONS ON PROPOSED STATUTORY AMENDMENTS
The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association will begin a series of consultations with its members as part of the ongoing review of the Association’s statutes.
The review process has been underway for approximately one year and forms part of the TTFA’s commitment to ensuring that its governance framework remains clear, effective and representative of the membership.
Proposed amendments have been circulated to members for their consideration. Three consultation sessions will now be held to provide members with an opportunity to examine the proposals, offer recommendations and seek clarification before any agreed amendments are presented to Congress.

The TTFA wishes to make it clear that no amendments have been unilaterally adopted by the Association. Under the existing statutes, Congress is the only body empowered to approve changes to the statutes.
The current process is therefore consultative. The TTFA has prepared proposals for consideration, but the final package presented at the Annual General Meeting will be determined through engagement with the membership.
Where a proposal does not receive sufficient support, or where common ground cannot be reached, it will not be included in the package presented for approval at the upcoming AGM. Such matters may instead be revisited through further consultation during the next review period.
This approach is consistent with the consultative process followed in 2024, when feedback from members was considered and adjustments were made before proposals moved forward.
The first membership consultation is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, 2026.
Additional consultations will be held weekly ahead of the Association’s AGM, scheduled for Sunday, November 29, 2026.
Details of the individual proposals will remain within the membership consultation process at this stage.
The review of the statutes also forms part of the TTFA’s wider efforts over the past year to strengthen its administrative structures and internal policies. This work has been undertaken with consideration given to recommendations from FIFA and reflects the Association’s continuing commitment to improving governance and reinforcing the administrative operations of the TTFA.
Further information will be communicated following the consultations and the consideration of the proposals by Congress.
We look forward to continued engagement of all parties as we seek the best way forward for Trinidad and Tobago football.
