T&T Women’s Squad named for Jamaica Friendly
The final Trinidad and Tobago Women’s Squad for Tuesday’s International Friendly against Jamaica has been selected as the hosts continue their preparations for the upcoming CONCACAF W qualifiers next month.
A provisional training squad has been undergoing training sessions under the guidance of coaches Damian Briggs and Densill Theobald. Jamaica’s team arrived in T&T in full on Thursday and have also begun preparations on local soil for the upcoming match which takes place at the Ato Boldon Stadium on Tuesday from 8:00pm.
The T&T squad selected includes a mixture of experienced players who have been part of previous squads participating in past Concacaf qualifiers including Kennya Cordner and Karyn Forbes with some promising youth and overseas-based players such as Maria-Frances Serrant also in the mix.
“At present we are in a rebuilding stage with the team which comprises experienced and young players. Our immediate focus is the preparation for the Jamaica friendly on Tuesday,” Briggs told TTFA Media on Friday.
“The women are fully focused and have been working hard both on and off the pitch to become even more or a close-knit group inspite. As a collective bunch, both staff and players understand how privileged we are to be able to represent this beautiful country and we will give the best of ourselves to be part of trying to create a legacy for Trinidad and Tobago women’s football.

“After the Jamaica match we will reflect collectively and try to improve on all elements from the game before switching our focus to preparations for the first qualifying game against Barbados at the end of November,” Briggs continued.
The Concacaf W Championship will serve as the Confederation’s qualifier for both the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 and the 2028 LA Summer Olympics, and will be the first of three major centralized tournaments in the Confederation’s revamped women’s national team calendar, unveiled in September 2024.
Matches will begin on Thursday, Nov. 27, and the final matches of the window will be played on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The Concacaf W Qualifiers matches will be played across the three FIFA Women’s International Match Windows running from November 2025 through April 2026, and serve as the preliminary stage of the 2026 Concacaf W Championship.
The competition will feature 29 Member Associations – excluding the region’s two highest-ranked nations (the United States and Canada). At the conclusion of the Concacaf W Qualifiers, the six group winners will join the United States and Canada in next year’s eight-team Concacaf W Championship.
T&T are away to Barbados on Sunday November 30th with the match scheduled to take place at the BFA Technical Centre, Bridgetown
