TTFA hosts Concacaf Club Licensing Workshop

The Concacaf Club Licensing Workshop for this year was held at UTT Campus, Chaguanas on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week where local clubs were engaged on key updates and developments within the regional football framework.

The workshop focused on new regulations approved by Concacaf in December 2024, introduced the updated club licensing criteria set to roll out over the next two years, and opened the application process for the 2025/2026 cycle.

Presentations were led by Ms. Leanne Lopez and Mr. Alfredo Quiros, with sessions tailored for Zonal clubs on Tuesday, and Tier 1, Tier 2, and Wolf clubs on Wednesday.

The Club Licensing initiative in Trinidad and Tobago aims to:

  • Safeguard and enhance club football nationwide
  • Raise the level of professionalism in club administration
  • Promote best practices across clubs and leagues
  • Formalize requirements for domestic and regional competitions
  • A vital step in raising standards and creating stronger, more sustainable football clubs across the country.
