Senior Women to play in Curacao Queen’s Friendly tournament

Trinidad and Tobago Senior Women’s Team will compete in the Caribbean Queen’s Friendly Tournament 2024 hosted by the Curacao Football Federation from May 28th to June 3 2024.

The Tournament will see the Senior Women’s National Team play two matches each against Aruba and hosts Curacao. The respective Member Associations have been working together to facilitate the tournament to provide competitive matches for our respective Women’s Teams as there are no Concacaf or FIFA women’s competitions this year.

The Trinidad and Tobago team will be led by head coach Richard Hood and will feature a developmental team with a mixture of TTFA High Performance Programme and Senior Players.

This tournament is viewed as an ideal opportunity to continue to expose our younger players to competitive environments in the vein where Trinidad and Tobago National U20 and TTFA High Performance players J’leasha Alexander and Orielle Martin made their senior international debuts in the Concacaf Road to W Gold Cup Qualifiers in late 2023.

Hood will be assisted by TTFA Director of Youth Football and Women’s U-17 National Team head coach Rajesh Latchoo. Several players players who would comprise this developmental team have been playing for their respective teams in the Republic Bank National Youth Football League and weekly TTFA High Performance Programme training.
