U-20 Men’s Qualifying draw on November 6th
The draw for the 2026 Concacaf Under-20 Men’s Qualifiers will be held on November 6, with Trinidad and Tobago awaiting draw which for the journey to the 2027 FIFA Men’s Under-20 World Cup.
Trinidad and Tobago are alongside 31 other teams who will be contesting the qualifiers from February 23-March 4, 2026, with the Concacaf Under-20 Championships scheduled for July 25-August 9, 2026. Ahead of the qualifiers, the 32 member nations have been placed in six pots for the draw based on the Concacaf Under-20 Men’s rankings as of August 5, 2025.
T&T are in pot one alongside Antigua and Barbuda, Curacao, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and Suriname, with pot one being reserved for Canada, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti and Jamaica.
At the draw, the teams will be placed into six groups for the qualifiers which will be held across venues in Costa Rica, Curacao and Nicaragua. After round-robin play, the first-place team in each of the six groups will advance to the Concacaf Under-20 Championships, where they will join the six top-ranked teams that are pre-qualified for the tourney. Those teams are: Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama and the US. The 12-team Concacaf Under-20 Championships will see the teams divided into three groups of four, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals alongside the two-best third-placed teams.
At the last Concacaf Under-20 Championships in 2024, Mexico defeated the US 2-1 in the finale, with Cuba and Panama finishing third and fourth, respectively. At the 2025 Fifa Under-20 Men’s World Cup which was held from September 27-October 19, both the Mexicans and the Americans were knocked out at the quarterfinal phase, with the latter team losing out in the last eight to eventual champions Morocco.
Last year, T&T were eliminated in the Concacaf Under-20 qualifiers after losing out to Canada in their qualifying group.

Pot 4: Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Martinique, St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Pot 5: Anguilla, Dominica, Saint Martin, Sint Maarten, Turks and Caicos, US Virgin Islands.
Pot 6: Bonaire, French Guiana.
