T&T’s football story takes center stage

Trinidad & Tobago’s rich football culture, proud history and promising future are in the spotlight in a new episode of Concacaf’s Federation in Focus docuseries, now available to audiences across the region and around the world.

The feature offers a cinematic look at the people, places and passion that shape the game on the island through the Trinidad & Tobago Football Association, while highlighting the continued work being done to develop football at all levels, including among the next generation of players.

Produced by Concacaf, Federation in Focus is a regional docuseries that highlights the unique identity and football journeys of its 41 Member Associations. In this episode, viewers are taken inside the evolution of the sport through high-quality match footage, behind-the-scenes access, and exclusive interviews with key figurez who have shaped the game locally. The visuals capture both the spirit of football and the culture of the nation.

“Through Federation in Focus, we are proud to showcase the incredible work being done by our Member Associations to grow the game at every level,” said Concacaf President Victor Montagliani.

“The story of football in Trinidad & Tobago is one of immense passion and resilience. This feature celebrates their unique journey and the ‘Football First’ philosophy that continues to drive progress across our region.”

The episode features conversations with TTFA President Kieron Edwards, as well as Third Vice President Jameson Rigues, General Secretary Kareem Paul, President of the North Football Association Akel Baig, and other key individuals contributing to sport. It also captures the essence of Trinidad’s localculture, filming at key locations such as the Magnifcent Seven, Queen’s Park Savannah and Maracas Bay to provide a vibrant backdrop to the federation’s story.

“It gives us the opportunity to tell our story in an authentic way — one built on passion, resilience and belief. More importantly, it highlights the work being done to create a stronger future for our young players and the game across the country.”
