The TTFA will be set to launch another initiative through the support of the FIFA Women’s Development Programme. This initiative will be a Girls U14 League (TTFA G14 League). For this inaugural league, twelve teams are registered. Eight teams from Trinidad and 4 Teams from Tobago and is scheduled to start with a League Opening on Sunday 5 March 2023.
The main objectives for the league are:
– Opportunity for younger girls to play outside of school
– Opportunity for female coaches to lead teams
– Opportunity to recruit players for the new cycle of the TTFA High Performance Programme
– Growing participation of girls that play football
– Creating club culture
