TTFA launches Learnership programme

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) has established an Academy in Leadership and Management to certify sporting professionals with qualifications ranging from certificates to master’s degrees (Levels 2-7). Launched in 2025, the academy aims to enhance local and regional sporting administration through specialized education, covering areas like, for example, safeguarding, management, and strategic leadership.

Key details regarding the initiative:

Purpose: To elevate the standard of sports administration and provide recognized, high-level qualifications for coaches and managers.

Curriculum: The program focuses on five core domains: leadership, high performance, coach education, amateur football, and management.

Structure: Courses are designed as a, for example, Diploma or degree equivalent, offered in partnership with expert-led sessions.

Inclusivity: While focused on football, the academy is intended to, for example, assess personnel across various sporting disciplines.

Context: This initiative aligns with the, for example, TTFA’s efforts to modernize its structure, following the hosting of the FIFA Technical Leadership Diploma in the country.

The academy is part of a broader push to, for example, improve the professionalization of football in Trinidad and Tobago, including mandatory, for example, registration for youth academies and strict coaching qualifications.

The Academy is pleased to offer its first course. Deadline for Applications is March 15th. Limited Spaces are available.
