TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO DRAWN IN GROUP S FOR INAUGURAL FIFA U-15 WORLD CUP & FESTIVAL 2026
The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association can confirm that this coumtry will compete in Group S of the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival 2026™, scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan from 22–31 October 2026.
T&T have been drawn alongside Cayman Islands, Egypt, Iraq, Macau, China and St Kitts and Nevis, giving the young national team the opportunity to test themselves against opposition from different regions of the world.
The historic competition forms part of FIFA’s expanded commitment to youth football development and, for its inaugural edition, will be open to boys’ teams from FIFA Member Associations around the world. FIFA has confirmed that the event will be staged in a centralised location in Azerbaijan and designed specifically around the developmental needs of U-15 players.
Matches will feature an adapted format, with shorter playing times, smaller pitches and teams comprising between seven and nine players per side. FIFA has described the initiative as an opportunity to give young players greater access to international football while creating developmental experiences across cultures and confederations.

The Trinidad and Tobago Under-15 squad is currently in training under head coach Randolph Boyce as preparations continue ahead of the tournament.
TTFA President Kieron Edwards welcomed the draw and said the competition represents an important opportunity within the Association’s wider youth development programme.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our young players to represent Trinidad and Tobago on the world stage at an important stage of their development. They will be exposed to different football cultures, different styles of play and an international tournament environment, and those experiences can be extremely valuable as they continue along the pathway.
“The players and technical staff are already working in preparation for the tournament, and as an Association we are pleased that another group of young Trinidad and Tobago footballers will have the opportunity to compete and develop at this level.”
The FIFA Council approved the introduction of the U-15 festival-style competition in December 2025, with the first edition featuring boys’ teams in 2026. The 2027 edition will feature girls’ teams, while from 2028 FIFA intends to invite Member Associations to participate with both boys’ and girls’ U-15 teams in separate competitions.
