King announces Squad for FIFA series
The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) has announced a 24‑man squad for the upcoming FIFA Series 2026 to be held in Uzbekistan, where the National Senior Men’s Team will face Venezuela on March 27 and Gabon on March 30 at the Pakhtakor Stadium in Tashkent.
The local contingent is scheduled to depart T&T on Sunday, with overseas‑based players assembling directly in Uzbekistan ahead of the matches.
Key Inclusions and Absentees
Among those recalled to the squad are captain Levi Garcia and Roald Mitchell, who returns from an injury sustained vs Jamaica last November but has since returned to fitness with New York Red Bulls.
Also back in the squad is the Oman‑based trio of Jerrin Jackie, Duane Muckette, and John Paul Rochford, along with Vietnam‑based players Justin Garcia and Reon Moore.
There’s a first‑time call‑up for recently drafted Orlando City defender Jaylen Yearwood.
Youthful trio Jaheim Faustin, Adam Pierre, and Lindell Sween have also earned recalls following appearances in the recent friendly versus Bolivia.

Crystal Palace’s Rio Cardines is also back in the squad after missing the World Cup Qualifiers against Jamaica and Bermuda through injury.
Unavailable for selection is US‑based defender Kobi Henry, who misses out due to injury. Meanwhile, Tyrese Spicer and Dante Sealy have requested to be excused from this camp. English‑based defender Daniel Phillips has also asked to be excused, while Andre Raymond and Molik Khan are sidelined through injury. Polish-based Elijah Cordner also misses out after suffering a hamstring injury last week vs Bolivia.
Interim Head Coach Derek King’s Comments
We’re very excited to take part in the FIFA Series. This is an important opportunity for us to bring together a group of players from different environments both overseas and locally and continue building our national team identity.

“This is our first official camp since the World Cup qualification campaign, and the focus is clear: growth, unity, and improving as a team.
We’re coming up against two very good opponents in Venezuela and Gabon, and we see this as a valuable test. Our objective is to compete, represent the country with pride, and continue laying the foundation as we move towards the Nations League.
“We selected a group that gives us both experience and potential. The overseas based players bring exposure to different levels of competition, while the young local players bring hunger and a strong desire to represent the country.
“This is part of building depth. We want internal competition and we want players pushing each other. It’s important that we continue to create opportunities for local players to grow within the national team environment.”
