FOX SPORTS PRESENTS U-17 SCHEDULE
FOX Sports today presented its 39-match broadcast schedule for the 2023 Concacaf Men’s U-17 Championship with matches airing live across the FOX family of networks, including FS1, FS2, FOX Soccer Plus and Tubi.
Beginning on Saturday, Feb. 11, twenty teams will compete in the two-week long tournament that will see all four semifinalists qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Peru 2023™. Nineteen matches will air on FS2, including Quarterfinals, Semifinals and the Final on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 5 PM ET. Additionally, Tubi will live stream select matches from the Concacaf tournament for the first time, including four Round of 16 matches.
Trinidad and Tobago takes on Canada on Saturday from 6pm TT at the Estadio Pensativo and that match will be aired live on FS2. T&T then takes on United States on Monday with a live broadcast on FS1 at 9:00pm TT followed by the closing group match against Barbados on Wednesday from 6:00pm on Fox Soccer Plus.
The Trinidad and Tobago squad arrived in Guatemala City on Thursday night from Kingston, Jamaica where it was based in a two-match Residential training camp for the past week.
Team head coach Shawn Cooper noted that this is now crunch time for his team.
“It’s down to this now. We had two very valuable warm-up matches against Jamaica where we were able to see the boys in an international match and that being away from home for the first time,” Cooper told TTFA Media.
“And I think they came through it fairly okay considering as I said this being their first pair of matches against international opposition. I think the time spent in Jamaica would serve us well but now it’s about getting in and settling in as quickly as possible ahead of the first game against Canada.
We really do not have much time so it’s just about getting a feel of the conditions and go straight into the match to execute our game plan and seek the best result possible which is off course three points,” Cooper said.
