TTFA to Host First Aid Training for Grassroots Stakeholders
The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) will host a First Aid Training Course for grassroots football stakeholders on May 30, 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen player safety and safeguarding across the local game.
The initiative follows the successful completion of a First Aid Instructor Certification programme on March 20, 2026, which now enables trained TTFA personnel to deliver certified emergency response training within the football community.
This next phase targets individuals operating at the grassroots level, including coaches, team managers, volunteers and club administrators, ensuring they are better equipped to respond to medical situations during training sessions and matches.

The course will cover key areas such as:
Basic first aid techniques
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Injury assessment and immediate care
Emergency response procedures in a football setting.
The TTFA views the programme as a critical step in improving overall preparedness and raising safety standards across grassroots football.
Ensuring that our grassroots stakeholders are trained in first aid is essential to creating a safer football environment. The ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations can make a significant difference in protecting our players.
The training course on May 30 will be open to grassroots clubs and stakeholders nationwide. Interested participants are encouraged to register early, as spaces will be limited.
Further details on registration and participation will be shared via the TTFA’s official communication channels.
