TTFA Extends Condolences following De Four’s Passing
The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association is today deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Michael De Four, President and Head Coach of TTPFL club Eagles FC. He had been warded in the Intensive Care Unit of the San Fernando General Hospital for the past few days.
His dedication to the club and local football and his passion for the game were truly inspiring.
In an immediate statement, TTFA President Kieron Edwards said, “This is an extremely sad day for the local football fraternity. He touched the lives of many with his leadership, wisdom, passion and unwavering commitment to the game and his club. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and the entire Eagles community during this difficult time.
“His guidance would have helped shaped not only better footballers but also better individuals. He was more than a coach, he was a mentor and a friend to many. His absence will be profoundly felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Coach De Four’s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace,” added Edwards
De Four completed the FIFA/CIES (International Centre for Sports Studies) Post Graduate diploma in sports management held in collaboration with the University of the West Indies. He had been at the helm of the Eagles club since its inception in 2012. The Eagles were created as Cunupia FC before undergoing a name change in 2023 to Eagles FC.
