G-League set for Big 8 knockout
G-LEAGUE SET FOR BIG 8 KNOCKOUT AS COX FA AND JEWELS SC DOMINATE ZONAL PHASE
The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) G-League concluded its zonal phase on Sunday, setting the stage for an exciting Big 8 Knockout Competition in the U13 and U15 age categories.
The final day of league action featured a highly anticipated North East Zone clash between Pro Series Blue and Legion FA. With both teams vying for the top spot, Pro Series delivered a commanding performance to secure all three points, ending Legion’s reign at the top of the standings after they had led the division for most of the season.
At the conclusion of the league phase, the following teams advanced to the Big 8 Knockout Competition:
U13 Division
- North East: Legion FA (Champions), Pro Series Blue (Runners-up)
- South: Cox Coaching Academy (Champions), Moruga FC (Runners-up)
- Tobago: Jewels SC (Champions), Black Panthers (Runners-up)
- Best Third-Placed Teams: Tobago Chicas and Pt. Fortin Pioneers
U15 Division
- North East: Pro Series Blue (Champions), Legion FA (Runners-up)
- South: Cox Coaching Academy (Champions), Pt. Fortin Pioneers (Runners-up)
- Tobago: Jewels SC (Champions), Tobago Chicas (Runners-up)
- Best Third Place Teams: Trendsetter Hawks, Black Panthers
The draw for the Big 8 Quarterfinals took place last evening and the matchups promise to be very competitive and exciting in each age category.

Cox Coaching Academy and Jewels SC continued their impressive campaigns by capturing both the U13 and U15 zonal titles in the South and Tobago Zones respectively.
The eight qualified teams in each age category will now await the official Big 8 Knockout Draw, where the quarterfinal match-ups will be determined as they compete for the inaugural G-League knockout championship.
The 2026 season also marked a significant milestone for the competition with the introduction of a third age category, U11, providing even more opportunities for young girls to participate in organised football. The six-week U11 competition concluded with a vibrant Festival on Saturday, where players enjoyed small-sided matches, fun activities, and team-building games while making new friends and celebrating the spirit of the game.
Now in its fourth year, the TTFA G-League continues to serve as the country’s premier girls’ youth football competition. Supported by the FIFA Women’s Football Development Programme, the league remains a key component of the TTFA’s commitment to increasing female participation, strengthening the player pathway, and creating more opportunities for girls across Trinidad and Tobago to develop through football.
